What We Do

The mission statement for our term in office is:

“To voice the views of young people and see that they are put into action”

In order to achieve this, we seek to listen to the views of young people in our community.

The Youth Council has a number of sub-groups and delegated individual roles in order to make sure we can affect change in the areas we focus on.

The Youth Council seeks to devise ways of making changes / improvements in the following areas:
• Activities / things to do for young people
• Personal safety and anti-social behaviour issues affecting young people
• Transport-related issues affecting young people
• Environmental-related issues affecting young people
• Attitudes towards / perceptions of young people
