Full-time: 36 hours per week Salary: £17,419 - £19,430 per annum (Candidates will qualify for progression to Grade 5 £20,138 - £22,658 after twelve months subject to meeting the criteria detailed in the Job Description) plus £840 Inner Fringe Allowance per annum
An interesting and exciting opportunity is available as an Assistant Planning Officer. Applicants must have a degree or equivalent vocational qualification and will be given an opportunity to gain a wide experience in all areas of planning.
You will be required to assist with the provision of Development Control services to required standards in an efficient, customer-focussed manner that meets national and key performance indicator targets. Therefore, you will be a good communicator and be able to write clear, concise reports.
A significant element of the role involves both working and learning at the same time. Successful applicants, subject to the Council’s Performance Education Scheme, may be selected to attend university to gain an MA in Planning.
