It’s that time of year again! Don’t ignore the form dropping through your letterbox soon! The 2019 annual canvass of electors starts in Epping Forest District with letters going out on 26 July.
It is essential you are registered to vote as it can have an effect on your ability to get a mortgage, loan or even a mobile phone contract! Also, there might be another Parliamentary election/EU Referendum soon so make sure you can vote by responding NOW.
Addressed to ‘the residents’
You’ll find a form addressed to “The Residents” dropping though your letterbox in the next few days and even if there are no changes to your details you MUST confirm this or tell us about any changes.
Respond before 20 August
If you have access to the internet, landline or a mobile phone then please respond online, by phone or by text as soon as possible and by 20 August at the latest.
Responding online is easy!
It’s simpler, clearer and faster online or by phone, using the two-part security code on the front of the form.
This year it’s even easier to access the website by using the QR code on the front of the form. Just open the camera on your mobile phone and hover over the code for a couple of seconds – it will take you directly to the household response website.
Help us help you
Posting out reminders cost the council around £20,000 last year, money which could have been spent on public services to our residents. Hand delivering forms to our office might save postage but means we still have to scan and process them!
So please help us to save money and conduct this important process more effectively.
Each household must respond
By law, each household MUST respond so if you do it NOW we won’t have to send you a reminder. Please help us keep costs down.
