The 2021 annual canvass of electors is underway in Epping Forest District with letters already sent to thousands of homes.
The deadline for properties receiving a YELLOW letter is this Friday, 20 August.
With just 4 days to go to the deadline only 40% of properties have responded – that’s 4800 properties still outstanding – and that’s not good!
To prevent a reminder letter having to be sent out – with a cost implication for Council Tax – we’re appealing to residents to respond before Friday.
It only takes a few minutes and not only ensures you are registered to vote for another year but can help your ability to get a mortgage, loan or even a mobile phone contract!
By law, we must carry out an annual canvass, to check that the information on the electoral register is correct and up to date.
The envelope you received through the post was addressed to The Residents with instructions on the outside about what to do.
If you have access to the internet, landline or a mobile phone you can respond online, by phone or by text by 20 August at the latest.
Do you need to respond?
Properties who received a WHITE form only need to respond if any of the information is incorrect or you need to delete, amend or add names. Just follow the instructions on the form.
Properties with a YELLOW form MUST respond, even if there are no changes to the details. Please check the information is correct. If the information is incorrect or you need to delete, amend or add names. Just follow the instructions on the form
