Are you, your customers and clients comfortable with using online services?
We commissioned a survey in partnership with digital inclusion charity Citizens Online. which reveals that around 21,000 Epping Forest residents lack essential digital skills, so we’ve arranged a workshop to look at Digital Inclusion in Epping Forest , with funding from the National Lottery Community Fund. This Interactive Workshop takes place on Thursday 30 May, 10.30am – 12.30pm at our Civic Offices in Epping.
Its purpose is to share information from initial research findings, and hear views on those findings – and anything we might be missing; explore the potential for collaboration and a joint action plan, and have some fun with digital technology.
We want to establish a Digital Inclusion Network across the district with a joint action plan to help tackle some of the biggest problems being faced by providers in the area. These might be:
•concerns about lack of digital skills of their customers/clients/residents/tenants
•supporting those with limited digital skills
•helping organisations prepare for Universal Credit
The workshop would suit those interested in digital transformation for their organisations and how to ensure that more people can use your online services.
We know of many organisations already working to tackle digital exclusion and our aim is to join up activity, share information and resources and encourage collaboration.
