Scam Awareness workshop on Saturday 8 June 2pm-4pm
Venue: The Jazz Archive, Loughton Library, Traps Hill, Loughton, IG10 1HD
Loughton Neighbourhood Watch has teamed up with the Loughton Festival to present a Scam Awareness Workshop that will help local residents avoid being scammed. They will also learn what they should do if they fall victim.
Did you know that if you are older, you are more likely to be scammed and far less likely to tell anyone about it?
Many people lose money when their bank cards are copied at an ATM machine and then later used fraudulently. Our experts will explain how thieves operate and what you should do to keep your card and private details safe.
Our speakers will be Simon, an ATM technical manager from a major IT company and Wendy, a Personal Banker at NatWest Loughton.
No booking is required, but please arrive early.
Loughton Festival programmes are available from Loughton Library.
