Essex Business Adaptation Fund (EBAF)
As a direct response to the ongoing challenges facing Essex businesses, and the measures introduced by the Government to stop the spread of COVID-19, a fund has been created to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
This is to assist them in adapting their premises and/or operations in order to continue to operate in a COVID-secure environment and generate income whilst legislation permits them to remain open and/or when restrictions are removed and they are able to reopen.
This is called the Essex Business Adaptation Fund (EBAF). Essex County Council has given Epping Forest District Council £242,000 from this fund to distribute to eligible businesses within its district.
Eligibility
If you are a small or medium size business, you can apply for a one-off grant of £500, £1,000 or £1,500.
You must use this money to adapt your premises and/or operations so you can trade in a Covid-secure way. These grants are only available for any eligible spending that happened after 15 October 2020.
Read full details of the policy including the eligibility criteria.
