Essex Business Adaptation Fund (EBAF)
As a direct response to the ongoing challenges facing Essex businesses, and the measures introduced by the Government to stop the spread of COVID-19, a fund has been created to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
This is to assist them in adapting their premises and/or operations in order to continue to operate in a COVID-secure environment and generate income whilst legislation permits them to remain open and/or when restrictions are removed and they are able to reopen.
This is called the Essex Business Adaptation Fund (EBAF). Essex County Council has given Epping Forest District Council £242,000 from this fund to distribute to eligible businesses within its district.
If you are a small or medium size business, you can apply for a one-off grant of £500, £1,000 or £1,500.
You must use this money to adapt your premises and/or operations so you can trade in a Covid-secure way. These grants are only available for any eligible spending that happened after 15 October 2020.
You will be asked to upload proof of any quotations for work or expenditure after 15 October 2020, so you need to have that ready.
Applications will be processed in order of receipt with grants awarded on a “first come, first served” basis.
The closing date for payments to be made is 15 February 2021.
