Main modifications consultation
Consultation on the Main Modifications of the Local Plan has closed. All submissions have been delivered to the Planning Inspector and made available for public view on the Councils Local Plan website. Councillors also noted progress on master plans and agreed the Infrastructure Funding Statement for 2020/2021.
Councillors approved procurement and re-tender of the Council’s leaseholder insurance, and progress towards the consultation stage of the draft North Weald Employment Land Master Plan. Public consultation will take place in November, December and January to allow the widest possible contribution and to take account of the Christmas and New Year period.
Housing development name
The Council is seeking family permission to name the new Pick Hill housing development after the late Councillor Syd Stavrou. Councillor Stavrou served as Housing and Finance Portfolio Holder at different times. As a senior councillor, she was instrumental in much of the preparatory work now coming to fruition in new council housing schemes in her home-town of Waltham Abbey and across the district.
