Epping Forest District Council Chairman Helen Kane will be joining others around the county on Christmas Eve by ringing a bell to show support for key workers and to spread much-needed cheer.
It’s all part of a Big Thank You to everyone who has been working so hard to support communities during the Covid -19 pandemic.
Essex wide campaign
Mid and South Essex Health and Care Partnership kicked off the campaign in Essex with other NHS care providers and local authorities joining in the festive campaign, which includes the worldwide Christmas Eve Jingle to ring bells on the doorstep at 6pm on Christmas Eve.
Ring a bell, a door bell or light a candle for two minutes and spread festive spirit and a little magic for children on Christmas Eve.
Big thank you
Cllr Helen Kane, Chairman of the Council said:
Christmas is a time of saying thank you and for giving, this year more than most we have come to realise how important our friends and families are.
So why not show someone near how much we care. It might be a neighbour, a local NHS worker or someone who has just gone that extra mile to make our life a little easier.
A card or a small gift can really make a big difference to a person’s life. It can make them feel special and appreciated. So, let’s start the ‘Big Thank you’ and create a chain of thanks within our community. And please join me on your doorsteps this Christmas Eve to ring out our recognition and thanks.
