Thursday 23 April is St George’s Day. Let’s wave our flags and clap our heroes.
Celebrate our heroes
To celebrate St George’s Day we thought it would be a great idea to combine our clapping for carers with waving a St George’s Day flag.
At 8pm this Thursday, wave your flags and clap our carers, celebrating heroes separated by centuries, but still recognised in our lives today.
Why not share your pictures and video on social media using #clapforourcarers and #waveforstgeorge.
Make a flag
Hunt out your football / proms flags or make one. You just need a sheet of A4 white paper and a red pen to colour in a cross.
Who was St George?
According to legend St George was a soldier in the Roman army who killed a dragon and saved a princess.
