Community and voluntary groups involved in delivering community, cultural and sports services and activities have been awarded £15,239 in grants by Epping Forest District Council.
Grants awarded to:
1. Roydon Playing Fields Management Committee
£3,500 towards the cost of refurbishment works to the kitchen pavilion.
2. Royal Gunpowder Mills Company Limited
£5,000 towards the cost of a project to study the historic building, The Quinan Stove.
3. Samaritans Redbridge Branch
£5,000 towards the cost of providing an emotional support service to anyone in emotional distress, struggling to cope, or at risk of suicide.
4. Nazeing Parochial Church Council
£1,739 towards the cost of building a wetland area and wooden bridge at All Saints Churchyard site.

We really appreciate the work the voluntary and community sector does in the district and I look forward to evaluating how our grants have impacted the lives of residents in the district over the past year.
