Over 50 children participated in creative workshops run by the Community, Culture and Wellbeing and Countrycare teams, over the Easter holidays.
Mini beast hotels
Participants learnt some fascinating facts about insects and arachnids from the Countrycare team before building a hotel for the little bugs from recycled and natural materials to place in their gardens.
Wonderful weaving
Things got colourful for those taking part in the Wonderful Weaving workshop as they learnt to weave a rainbow wall hanging using cardboard, string and wool.
Wildlife clay art
An octopus, starfish and pufferfish were just some of the curious creatures participants made from quick air-drying clay at Wildlife Clay Art workshop.
Holiday Activities and Food Programme
All the workshops were part of the Epping Forest District Festival of Cultural. They were funded by Active Essex, working in partnership with The Red Balloon Foundation as part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme.
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme is a government initiative for local authorities to provide free of charge activities and food to families on low incomes.
