Air Quality Action Plan 2023 – 2028 Consultation
Air Quality Action Plan 2023- 2028 Consultation
Air pollution has major health impacts on human health. It is recognised as a contributing factor in the onset of heart disease and cancer. Additionally, air pollution affects the most vulnerable in society including children, older people, and those with pre-existing health conditions. The annual health cost to society of the impacts of particulate matter alone in the UK is estimated to be around £16 billion. Everyone is affected by air pollution and clean air is important for us all.
Our draft Air Quality Action Plan sets out our vision to reduce pollution in the District and we want your views on the actions we are proposing to take.
