The Essex Faith Covenant event
On Tuesday 8 November, Epping Forest District Museum hosted the annual Essex Faith Covenant (EFC) event.
This event gave faith leaders and public services the opportunity to come together to strengthen community cohesion, network and celebrate the work taking place in the district and across Essex.
A celebration of cultural diversity
Ivor Moody, Vice Dean and Canon Pastor, Chair of the Mid-Essex Inter Faith Forum and Chair of Essex Mind and Spirit said:
The event was a microcosm of everything for which the EFC stands; hospitality, inter faith networking, interaction with public services and a celebration of cultural diversity.
The museum opened its doors to illustrate, through its imaginative and innovative displays, how an organisation can positively impact on the area it serves, by showcasing so much about what has formed the character and identity of such a rich and vibrant community.”
Essex Faith Covenant
The Essex Faith Covenant, the first county-wide Faith Covenant in the UK, was launched in October 2017. It continues to drive the partnership between faith communities and public services through a set of principles that guide engagement, improve relationships and promotes open and practical working.
