Watch the webcast live
In response to enquiries as to whether members of the public can speak in the meeting, the council has confirmed that only councillors will be able to participate in the debate but that members of the public will be able to watch the debate live online.
The meeting at 7pm on Monday 8 February will be held in accordance with the current COVID restrictions and webcast to the internet for live and subsequent public viewing on our website.
Reasons for the debate
The agenda sets out the motion (reasons for debate), a summary of the planning issues and more detailed explanation of the factors leading to the proposed introduction of the Air Pollution Mitigation Strategy.
It explains why Epping Forest District Council has to have an Interim Air Pollution Mitigation Strategy and sets out the potential risk of much higher housing numbers across the whole district if the council can’t agree a strategy that adequately protects the forest into the future.
