Funding is available to help small and medium size businesses trade safely as the move out of lockdown begins.
The Essex Business Adaptation Funding (EBAF) is providing grants of either £500, £1,000 or £1,500 to support local businesses in carrying out adjustments to their premises, enabling them to operate in a COVID-secure way.
Locally more than 100 businesses have accessed around £140,000, but more funding is still available and applications can be made up to 1 July 2021.
Screens, seating or technology?
The money could be used to pay for screens or barriers to protect customers and staff, for outdoor seating or shelters to trade outdoor. It can even be for digital technology to establish an online presence. However it cannot be used to pay for costs such as rent, wages or PPE.
Apply now for a grant
The EBAF grant is non-repayable and applications are normally turned around within a week.
