There is funding available from the Government to help vulnerable households and reduce the risk of eviction.
The Homelessness Prevention Grant is a one-off payment to support low-income private renters with COVID-19 related rent arrears, to avoid being evicted or find a new home and prevent homelessness.
We can help
We know money worries are stressful for tenants and landlords; the pandemic has meant that some landlords are taking action.
If you are a landlord with concerns about your tenants paying rent, we can help you. Evicting tenants is often done as a last resort and can be expensive and emotional for everyone involved.
We want to work with you and your tenants to support you both in getting back on track. We can give help and advice on repayment plans; understanding of rights and responsibilities; and give information on benefits/universal credit and discretionary housing payments.
If you are a private renting tenant with worries about rent payments, please contact us to see how we can help.
If you have any queries about applying for this funding, want to find out if you’re eligible or want more advice, contact us to see how we can help.
