We are undertaking a housing stock condition survey of a large proportion of our properties. This includes inspections of both inside and outside of your home.
We sent letters to the homes involved explaining what our contractor Ridge is doing, but due to postal strikes some residents haven’t received the letter before surveyors turn up.
Your safety is extremely important to us
Councillor Holly Whitbread, Cabinet Member for housing said:
We want to reassure residents that this is a legitimate survey being carried out on behalf of Epping Forest District Council to help understand whether works may be required to maintain the standards of our council-owned homes.
If you are not at home when a surveyor calls, they will leave a card asking you to make an appointment.
I understand you may feel concerned about letting people into your home and want to reassure you that your safety is extremely important to us.
If you have any concerns at all please check the validity of the caller with our contact centre on 01992 564000 or call Ridge direct on FREEPHONE 0800 086 2743.
