Consultation is open now on the Council’s overarching housing strategy covering the next five years.
Have your say
The consultation is for everyone with an interest in affordable housing in the district. It outlines the proposals and follows up with simple questions, to find out to what extent people agree or disagree and whether they have any further suggestions. This should take about 10 minutes to complete.
All contributions will be considered before presenting the final draft strategy to Cabinet for approval in Autumn 2022.
Have your say by completing the on-line survey by 27 June 2022.
Strategy priorities
Priorities contained in the strategy are:
- Increase the supply of affordable housing
- Quality and standards
- Promote health wellbeing and independence
- Economic growth and regeneration
- Protect and enhance the environment
This is the final stage of the Council’s review of the ‘Big 4 Housing Strategies and Policies’ for the next five years.
The Housing Strategy 2022-2027 and associated documents including the outcome of the consultation, the action plan and the equalities impact assessment will be published on the Council’s website along with the reviews of the Allocations Scheme, Tenancy Policy and the Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy for 2022-2027 that were approved by Cabinet in March.
