Housing and Wellbeing strategy and policy consultations
Proposed Resident Involvement Strategy
The Council is proposing a new service strategy for resident involvement, which was developed in collaboration with residents.
The proposed strategy sets out five clear key aims, that will support the delivery of excellent resident involvement:
- Customer at the heart of what we do
- Working with communities
- Improve communities
- Empowerment and holding the landlord to account
- Make engagement easier
The strategy sets out clear and measurable actions to achieve these aims.

Have your say on the proposed strategy. The online consultation runs from 5 December 2022 to 22 January 2023.
Proposal to transfer Grounds Maintenance to Qualis Group Ltd
Formal consultation runs from 21 November to 21 December 2022.
We are proposing to transfer the general grounds maintenance and landscaping service to Qualis Group Ltd (an EFDC owned Company).
We would like to consult council tenants and leaseholders as the proposals include the grounds maintenance service on council estates.

The council will take all responses received during the consultation period into account before a final decision is made.
Draft Housing Strategy 2023-2027
The public consultation for the Housing Strategy 2023 – 2027 closed on 27 June 2022.
All contributions have been evaluated and the recommendations will be presented to Cabinet for consideration on 4 December 2022.
The Housing Strategy 2023-2027 and associated information including the outcome of the consultation, the delivery plan and the equalities impact assessment will be published on the Council’s website once it has been approved.
