Easy to understand guides on getting to grips with the digital world are available to Epping Forest District residents.
Digital skills for residents
The council is working in partnership with social enterprise Digital Unite who created the guides, to make them available to residents to help them overcome their fears and embrace an ever-expanding digital world.
Topics covered are choosing and using a computer, creating documents using Microsoft Office, email and Skype, using the internet, internet security, hobbies and interests, music and audio, smartphones and tablets, tv and video, digital photography, government services, shopping, and banking online.
The guides, written by experts in digital skills are updated daily by Digital Unite, ensuring residents always have access to the latest information.

COVID-19 has meant that we are having to deliver many more of our services online. These guides are a fantastic resource in helping residents get connected in this ever-increasing digital world.
Digital skills have become a key part of our everyday lives, and these guides have been carefully produced to meet the needs and abilities of residents. From how to shop safely online to listening to your favourite audible book, there is something for everyone.
