About the job
Would you welcome the challenge of developing and delivering projects and initiatives that encourage community engagement, participation and healthy lifestyles for Epping Forest district residents? The Community Health & Wellbeing Team is seeking to appoint an experienced community engagement worker with excellent inter-personal and organisational skills. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of projects and initiatives that encourages improvement to health and wellbeing, participation and community cohesion through partnership working.
The successful candidate would be expected to work in partnership with key stakeholders to develop and deliver sustainable community projects for residents across the district with a focus on healthy lifestyles and choices.
A wide range of experience in community development work or similar is essential. You will have a proven track record of working in partnership with a range of agencies from the public, private and third sector.
Please note that this post is subject to a DBS Enhanced plus check. The successful applicant will need to have a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. The post holder must also be available to cover evening meetings and occasional weekend work.
The Council are currently undertaking a review of its pay and benefits and the salary stated above is subject to change. If you are shortlisted, the proposed pay rates will be discussed during the interview process. It is not expected that salaries will be less than that stated above.
