About the job
The Community, Health & Wellbeing Team is seeking to appoint a Community Grants Officer to provide administrative support in respect of the Council’s Grant Aid Scheme and the work of the wider team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative functions for the Grant Aid Scheme including overseeing the despatch and return of application forms, completing preliminary assessments of applications and monitoring application progress. You will also liaise with local groups, arrange and coordinate meetings, carry out minute taking and maintain accurate records.
Experience of working in an office environment in an administrative role is essential. You will be educated to a standard of literacy and numeracy in line with the effective delivery of all administrative and organisational tasks associated with this role. Key skills will include the ability to be organised and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and you should have the ability to use MS Offices applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Please note that this post is subject to a DBS Enhanced plus check. The successful applicant will need to have a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes. The post holder must also be available to cover evening meetings and occasional weekend work.
The Council are currently undertaking a review of its pay and benefits and the salary stated above is subject to change. If you are shortlisted, the proposed pay rates will be discussed during the interview process. It is not expected that salaries will be less than that stated above.
