Chief Inspector Ant Alcock, District Commander for the Epping Forest and Brentwood areas of Essex Police is appealing for local people to join a local police advisory group.
Help the police improve
Chief Inspector Ant Alcock said:
If you are willing to challenge the police to help them improve; are from a diverse community and want a say on policing or are passionate about voicing the needs and concerns of your community we want to hear from you.
Influence and feedback on policing matters
Essex Police are looking for new members of the Brentwood and Epping Forest Independent Advisory Group (IAG) which provides an opportunity to be part of a two-way conversation with local police to discuss significant incidents, influence policy and procedure and give feedback on other policing matters.
The IAG is a group of people from a diverse range of communities who come together four times a year to give feedback on a range of local policing issues and live incidents to help and improve understanding of the communities’ needs, expectations and concerns.
Chief Inspector Ant Alcock continued:
We hope to increase membership and improve representation of the diverse communities we serve across the area.
