‘Great in Spirit, Larger in Outlook’ is on display from Saturday 23 September to Friday 22 December 2023

  • Opening hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 10am to 4pm

Cultures of the world

The new exhibition, ‘Greater in Spirit, Larger in Outlook’, includes objects related to cultures of the world.

Epping Forest District Museum and Saffron Walden Museum have been working in partnership with various community groups to curate this exhibition.

With funding from an Arts Council National Lottery Project Grant, this project aims to ensure the museums and their collections reflect their diverse communities, by working directly with cultural groups to research different objects and tell their stories.

Opening day event

Join the opening day celebrations on, Saturday 23 September, 11.30am to 3pm.

Adanta Dance and Ngati Ranana will be performing and talking about the contributions they made to the exhibition.  The Ethiopian History Society will have an information stall and craft activities for visitors to enjoy.

There will also be a chance to sample different foods from around the world.
