Fashion exhibition

Throughout the day the museum will be displaying one of our popular touring exhibitions 1950s Fashion: A Decade of Glamour, hosting an archaeological dig activity and be on hand to answer any questions about the collection and volunteering opportunities.

1950s Fashion: A decade of glamour

This display will be open to the public throughout the event.

From the dazzling dresses of the Paris couture houses to the ready to ware styles of Marks and Spencer, this exhibition explores how the fashions of the stars were first created and then adapted to be worn by the everyday family.

This exhibition is 1 of 6 touring displays which has been made possible by Arts Council England funding.

This is a free event and no booking is required.
