The Hebrew Bible contains the Torah or the Five Books of Moses. It is a sacred text to practicing Jews. In this photo, a repaired 100-year-old Torah Scroll is being donated to the Buckhurst Hill Synagogue in 2006. It was the Synagogue’s first scroll. The Torah is unfurled and read during Jewish prayers.
