The Council is installing a new back-office planning system from 28 May – 13 June 2022 to help improve online applications.
New system
During the installation of the new system there will be a period of up to 2 weeks from Saturday 28 May 2022 where no new planning applications can be registered.
Please be reassured that any applications (excluding time sensitive applications such as Agricultural Determinations, Telecommunication Prior Approvals) received during this period will be on hold until the new system is installed. For existing applications due for a decision in the 2-week period we intend to continue to issue decisions in the normal manner.
The Council will do everything in its control to keep subsequent delays to a minimum.
The installation of the new system is part of the Council service plan and process of continual improvement.
Building control
New Building Control applications received during this time will be processed as normal but using a temporary indexing system which will result in some delay receiving acknowledgement letters from Epping Forest District Council.
The issuing of Building Control approvals and completion certificates will be unaffected.
