Update on the Strategic Masterplan for the employment site at North Weald Airfield.
From December 2021 until February 2022, the community was consulted on the draft Strategic Masterplan. We received a large number of responses and it was great to see many attendees to the online and in-person events held during this period. The masterplan is currently being revised in response to the consultation, and the final Strategic Masterplan and Statement of Community Involvement will be submitted to Cabinet.
Strategic Masterplan
Epping Forest District Council is currently producing a Strategic Masterplan for the employment site at North Weald Airfield. Land at North Weald Airfield has been identified as a New Employment Site in Epping Forest District Council’s emerging Local Plan. Find out more at
Once endorsed by the Council, the Strategic Masterplan will guide future applications for development at the site.
