It’s round two of the annual canvass, because around 17,500 people failed to respond to our first letter.
Reminders have been sent out this week, so please look out for a letter from Epping Forest District Council addressed to ‘The Residents’.
It is essential you are registered to vote as it can have an effect on your ability to get a mortgage, loan or even a mobile phone contract! Also, there might be another Parliamentary election/EU Referendum soon so make sure you can vote by responding NOW. Even if there are no changes to your details you MUST confirm this or tell us about any changes.
If you have access to the internet, landline or a mobile phone then please respond online, by phone or by text as soon as possible and by 20 September at the latest.
It’s simpler, clearer and faster online or by phone, using the two-part security code on the front of the form.
This year it’s even easier to access the website by using the QR code on the front of the form. Just open the camera on your mobile phone and hover over the code for a couple of seconds – it will take you directly to the household response website.
Posting out reminders cost the council around £20,000 last year, money which could have been spent on public services to our residents. Hand delivering forms to our office might save postage but means we still have to scan and process them! So please help us to save money and conduct this important process more effectively.By law, each household MUST respond so if you do it NOW we won’t have to send you a reminder. Please help us keep costs down.
