

A packed programme of Summer fun from sports to wildlife activities is planned for children and young people as part of Epping Forest District Council’s Summer holiday activities.
Multi-sports days and more!
Woodland adventures, wildlife discoveries and a Teddy Bears’ Picnic organised by Countrycare take place in nature reserves across the Epping Forest District in July and August while activities run by the Community, Culture and Wellbeing team starting in July and running throughout August include multi-sports days, forest fun, play in the park…and much more! You can even learn how to make a pizza, or a seed bomb!!
All the CCW activities can be found in the Summer Activities 2021 online brochure. Most must be booked online while others you can just turn up at.
Young people with additional needs
Young people with additional needs are welcome to take part in many of the activities, but carers should call before booking to check if the chosen activity meets the child’s requirements. Bookings are being taken now

A Woodland Adventure
- When: 28 July 2021, 10am-1pm.
- Venue: Roughtalley’s Wood Local Nature Reserve, North Weald
Wildlife Discoveries
- When: 11 August 2021, 10am-1pm
- Venue: Willingale Road Community Orchard.
Teddy Bears’ Picnic
Take a picnic and a teddy.
- When: 25 August, 10am-1pm
- Venue: Linder’s Field Local Nature Reserve, Buckhurst Hill.
The Countrycare activities are appropriate for children aged 3-13 years old and all attendees must always be accompanied by an adult. £3 per child, with accompanying children under the age of 3, free. Events can be booked online from early July.
