We’ve teamed up with business support organisation Colbea to offer free consultancy advice to local businesses.
The programme which has begun recruiting business partners across the district will offer expert advice to companies on how to:
- Improve their green credentials by harnessing carbon reduction strategies in supply chains
- It will inform businesses how definitions of net-zero or carbon-neutrality fit into the context of the day to day running of a business
- Educates businesses on how going greener can cut costs and add value to their business model
Up to 50 places available
Up to 50 places are available to local businesses who want to take part.
The programme will offer businesses up to 12 hours of dedicated online support, workshops and also help them with developing a green plan.
Businesses also get the opportunity of networking with other firms around the district attending these workshops.
Helping local companies
Councillor John Philip, Finance and Economic Development Portfolio holder said:
Reducing energy costs, going greener and developing new ways of benefiting from the continually expanding environmentally conscious market place is really important to local businesses.
This scheme is all about helping local companies make the most of these new opportunities through accessing expert advice and support.
Fit the needs of business
Craig Baston (Operations and Partnerships Manager) from Colbea said:
We are very happy to be working with Epping Forest District Council to bring this innovative programme to the area.
We are working with councils across Essex to deliver support to this sector which will be crucial to business effectiveness and growth going forward. We have tailored the programme to fit the needs of business and cover the areas they need support on.
Colbea is looking forward to working closely with businesses in the district.
