Collection fund
St Johns Church in Epping and Epping Forest District Council are coordinating a collection fund for affected residents.
Council Leader Chris Whitbread said:
This is a dreadful tragedy in which a man has lost his life and many people have been left without access to their homes.
We’re doing all we can to help support those affected and we’ve had lots of interest from kind members of the public wishing to help too.
Due to the potential issues around COVID-19, we are encouraging cash donations instead of donations of clothing, toys or household items. If you do wish to donate, please do so on the details below.
If you wish to donate, you can either:
- Text WOODLANDGROVE followed by the amount they wish to give to 70085. You will be charged the cost of one standard text message by your phone provider.
- Bank Transfer. Any donations should be marked with the reference “Woodland Grove” and can be transferred to:
-
- Account name: Epping District Team Ministry
- Account Number: 40202260
- Sort Code: 090666
The collection will be open until Sunday 12 July. Everything that is received will be transferred to those residents who were affected by the fire.
