We are consulting on our licensing policy for residents and businesses to comment on.
The policy cover premises that sell alcohol, offer late night refreshment and regulated entertainment. It also covers individuals who sell alcohol. It acts as a guide for applicants, decision makers and anyone commenting on a licence or a licence application. It ensures applications are dealt with consistently and on their own merits.
The consultation closes on 16 November.
Read the draft policy
The existing Statement of Licensing Policy was approved in 2013. The minor changes are in paragraphs 1.5, 1.6, 1.12, 1.16 to 1.19 and 1.50. These changes are inclusions and updates since the previous policy was published. There have also been some minor changes to the consultees list.
