Urgent information about postal vote arrangements for the Waltham Abbey South West ward by-election in case the proposed Royal Mail strike goes ahead.
We have been advised that Royal Mail staff will be on strike on Thursday 13 October, meaning there will be no postal service that day, which is the same day we are holding a by-election in Waltham Abbey South West ward for a new district councillor.
If you have not sent in your postal vote for this by-election, please do so by Tuesday 11 October to avoid it getting caught up in any industrial action.
If you are unable to post your completed postal ballot pack in time, it can be handed in at the Council’s Civic Offices in Epping until Thursday 13 October. Alternatively you can hand it into the polling station at Waltham Abbey Town Hall on the day of the election.
The polling station will be open from 7am to 10pm on Thursday 13 October.
