Newly elected members of Epping Forest Youth Council are fired-up and ready to get on with their duties.
Events
They’ll be visiting the Houses of Parliament and Supreme Court during the spring break to witness first-hand the working of Government and Justice.
And also during the spring break they will be turning their hands to cleaning up the River Stort between Harlow and Roydon, supported by employees and volunteers from the Canal & River Trust, Thames Water and Epping Forest District Council’s Emergency Planning team.
Youth Council Election results
This year 34 candidates aged between 12 and 17, contested 25 seats on the Youth Council and last month 4,560 students across the district’s secondary schools voted for who they felt would best represent issues affecting young people.
