Report a problem with a tree

Report a fallen or dangerous tree if it’s on:

• A footpath
• A road
• Public land
• Private land blocking a public right of way

How to report a problem with a tree

During normal office hours:

• Email Trees@eppingforestdc.gov.uk
• Call 01992 564000

All other times:

• Report it to Essex County Council on the Essex Highways – Report a tree, bush, weed or verge page.

Trees we’re not responsible for

If the tree is on private land and not blocking a public right of way, you should report it to the landowner.
