Flag of St George flying alongside the Union flag in Epping

Happy St George’s Day

Community news, News

Today is St George’s Day – wishing all our residents and visitors a happy St George’s Day!

Flying the flag of England

Each year on 23 April we celebrate the patron saint of England, St George.

Although there are a lot of myths about St George, it is a day to reflect our shared history, culture and community spirit, all values which make England and Epping Forest such a great place to live.

Today we are flying both the Union and St George’s flags at the civic offices in Epping to celebrate St George’s Day.
