Advance notice of Epping road closures
Essential highway improvements are scheduled to take place on Bakers Lane in Epping from Monday 8 September.
The work is being carried out by Essex Highways. It is anticipated to take approximately 16 weeks to complete and will be completed in 3 phases, to allow for access and limit disruption as much as possible.
- Phase 1 – Road closure from the St John’s Road junction to the Bakers Lane roundabout junction with Cottis Lane
- Phase 2 – Road closure from the roundabout at Cottis Lane, to (and including) the junction with Albany Court
- Phase 3 – Overnight road closure on Albany Court for resurfacing with no vehicle access
Residents living in the affected roads have been advised by letter of the works. Most of the work will be carried out during the day, with resident access still provided. As the work goes on, Essex Highways is proposing to undertake resurfacing works on Albany Court, which may be carried out overnight. Essex Highways will contact affected residents nearer the time, should this take place.
Pavements will remain open and visitors will still be able to access the Cottis Yard and Marks & Spencer car parks.
Diversion notices
Signed diversion routes will be in place on the following roads:
- St John’s Road
- Coronation Hill
- Lincolns Field
