One Resilient Common Future
Chairman of Epping Forest District Council, Councillor Darshan Sunger said:
On Monday 11 March, over 56 countries around the world will come together to celebrate Commonwealth Day.
This day gives us the opportunity to celebrate the friendship, spirit of unity and achievements of the Commonwealth family.
The theme for this year’s event is ‘One Resilient Common Future: Transforming our Common Wealth’.
The theme highlights how all member countries must harness their strengths by building resilience, unlocking potential, leveraging the ‘Commonwealth Advantage’ and fostering a connected, digital Commonwealth. This transformation is vital to ensure a resilient common future where no one is left behind.
That is why Epping Forest District Council is proud to fly the Commonwealth Flag on Monday 11 March to reflect the deep-rooted networks of friendship and goodwill that connect all the Commonwealth Countries around the globe.
