Nearly 200 year 6 pupils participated in this year’s crucial crew live.
Crucial crew live is an interactive initiative based around key life skills for year 6 students as they prepare for secondary school.
This year Epping Forest District Council hosted the 3-day programme at the Civic Offices in Epping, after 2 years of it being a virtual event.

Helping young people make positive choices
Councillor Smruti Patel, Portfolio Holder for Community, Health and Wellbeing said:
I am delighted we were able to have Crucial Crew in person again. You can see how much the children get out of each workshop; it’s so rewarding to see them support one another and work as a team.
Epping Forest District Council is committed to supporting local children and young people to stay safe and well by providing them with the knowledge and skills to make positive life choices. The different scenarios at crucial crew highlight the possible challenges and gives them the confidence to face them.
Health and wellbeing strategy
