Nazeing play area celebrates official opening

Community news, Leisure and culture news, News

Our Play in the Park team helped host a free outdoor play session to celebrate the grand opening of the Elizabeth Close Play Area in Nazeing.

Working with Nazeing Parish Council, the newly refurbished Elizabeth Close Play Area in Nazeing was officially opened on Wednesday 13 August.

The free outdoor play session was lively with the children enjoying the many activities put on. The parish council had face painting and handed out goody bags on behalf of HAGS Global, the construction company who installed the new play equipment.

A play area for every child to enjoy

The new play area has been designed with inclusive play equipment, including a wheelchair accessible roundabout, an in-floor trampoline, and seesaw and swing sets that allow harnesses to be attached.

Enjoy for many years to come

It has been great to attend some of our free Play in the Park sessions and see so many children enjoying the activities.

Our Community Development and Wellbeing team have been fantastic at putting on the sessions, with the support of our town and parish Councils, and Qualis.

I have attended sessions in Loughton, Nazeing, and Buckhurst Hill and had a great time enjoying the number of activities on offer, including arts and crafts, tennis, and footballs.

The Dr Bike team has been attending certain sessions, working hard to fix the children’s bikes. I booked my daughter’s bike on which had a few problems and now it’s like new. She’s been enjoying cycling again thanks to the team at Dr Bike!

Our 13 August session in Nazeing was also held as a grand opening of Elizabeth Close Play Area. I hope that Nazeing children continue to enjoy the play area for many years to come.
