Pre-application advice service
The National Planning Policy Framework encourages pre-application discussions as they improve the speed and success of the planning system.
Before submitting a planning application, you can talk to us about your proposal. This might involve meeting with us or sending us your proposals for us to comment on. This can help to overcome potential difficulties and make sure your application addresses all important planning considerations, in order to have the best chance of a successful application.
Once a formal application has been received, the council will make a decision and only contact you if we need further information or amendments. Minor amendments can be made within the relevant application timelines.
Post application advice service
If you need to discuss a way forward following a refusal, we offer a valuable post application advice service where you can discuss your revised proposals with us, and we can advise on any changes you should consider in order to have the best chance of a successful application.
Next Steps
Our Guidance Note and Charging Schedule explains how to use the service, what we offer, the fees and what you can expect.
If you would like to request pre or post application advice please complete the form and send to planningapps@eppingforestdc.gov.uk
