Children enjoyed engaging in activities such as tennis, badminton, football, Connect 4, bike riding, assembling a car, arts and crafts and playing with Lego.
The sessions took place at a variety of venues in Loughton, Buckhurst Hill, Chigwell, Waltham Abbey, Epping, Ongar, Willingale, Fyfield, Roydon, High Ongar, Thornwood, Sheering, Theydon Bois, North Weald, and Abridge.
Fun free event
The Play in the Park sessions were made possible by the EFDC’s Community Development and Wellbeing team, with support from local Town and Parish Councils.
Attendees of the sessions expressed appreciation for the sessions:
Lovely friendly people and idea. Summer holidays are fun but expensive, so free fun is good fun. Well done, for us grandparents it’s a blessing.
Another parent added:
Kids are engaged for the whole 2 hours. They look forward to all the sessions.
The next sessions will be during the 2 week Easter Holidays in April 2025 at various locations across the Epping Forest district. Keep an eye out for the Winter What’s On brochure for more details.
