Voting has finished in the Epping Forest Youth Council elections. Tune in to watch the results announced live on Wednesday evening at 6pm.

Over 2,000 pupils from the district’s schools have been voting to elect the 25 places up for election on the Epping Forest Youth Council. Council staff set up elections in all the schools giving our young people their first taste of the democratic process.

Chairman Jeane Lea said: “Thank you to all the young people who took the time and trouble to cast their vote for their favourite candidate. Please tune in at 6pm on Wednesday to see who’s been successful.”


Councillor Helen Kane Leisure and Community Services Portfolio Holder said: “Congratulations to our new youth councillors. The successful candidates will be announced live on the internet on Wednesday night.”
