Thank you for all your donations to the Epping Forest Christmas Giving Campaign.
Your generous contributions have provided Christmas presents to parents of over 50 local children.
This year’s Epping Forest Christmas Giving Campaign raised funds and collected donated presents worth nearly £1500.
The gifts are given to families who have been identified by local schools and frontline children and family service providers as needing extra support over the festive period.
Partnership working
Organised by Voluntary Action Epping Forest, Essex Police and Epping Forest District Council, staff and volunteers from each organisation joined forces to wrap and distribute gifts to local households. Team members from the NHS, the Independent Advisory Group and district councillors also lent a helping hand with wrapping presents.
Charitable donations
Large charitable donations were received from The Grange Farm Trust and Bancroft’s School. Members of the public and staff and volunteers from a number of local community partnership organisations also donated gifts.
Thank you
Chairman of Epping Forest District Council, Cllr Mary Sartin said:
A big thank you to everyone who gave an extra gift to this year’s Christmas Giving Campaign.
Everyone is struggling as the cost-of-living crisis continues, but your generous donations mean more children will wake up with a present on Christmas Day.
I’d also like to thank the staff and volunteers who worked so hard to get everything organised and delivered.
