Report fly-tipping
Fly-tipping is the illegal dumping of waste.
We do not clear fly-tipping from private land, this is the landowner’s responsibility. However, we ask you to report fly-tipping incidents on private land so that we can investigate who is responsible.
Telephone 01992 564608 during office hours or 01992 564000 at all other times.
What we need to know
- The date, time and place
- The type and size of the fly-tip
- A description of the person
- The registration and description of the vehicle
If you see someone fly-tipping
- Do not approach them, they may react badly to being challenged
- Do not touch the waste or open containers as they may contain hazardous material
- Report it – call Essex Police if the offenders are still on site. After the event you can report the fly-tipping to us and we will investigate to find out who is responsible
