

Over 140 people attended the Epping Forest dementia fair on Saturday 13 May at St John’s Church, Epping.
The fair, organised by Epping Forest Dementia Action Alliance in partnership with Epping Forest District Council (EFDC) and Epping Team Ministry, provided information, advice and support for people affected by dementia in the district.
Activities and resources
Bedford House Community Association offered a creative workshop for the duration of the event. Home Instead provided a ‘Singing for the Brain’ taster session with a guitarist accompaniment and many local service providers shared resources and ideas.

A great way to kick off Dementia Action Week

Saturday’s event was another excellent opportunity for local residents affected by dementia to find out what vital services are available within the district. Everyone involved was delighted to have offer information, advice and immediate support to so many people. It was a great way to kick off Dementia Action Week and we look forward to holding more events like this in the future.
