Citizen of the year
Applications are now open
Do you know our next Citizen of the Year?
The search has begun for next year’s top citizens in Epping Forest District.
Celebrating citizens who have gone the extra mile
Every year the Council Chairman hosts an awards ceremony to recognise and celebrate citizens who have gone the extra mile to support their communities.
It could be a good neighbour or charity worker, or perhaps someone who runs a club for youngsters or older people.
This year’s winner was Lisa Skinsley from Chigwell who set up the Oak Lodge Avenue Neighbourhood Watch scheme and over the past 18 months has worked tirelessly supporting her local community during Covid.
Have someone in mind?
So if you know someone, or a group of people, who make positive changes why not nominate them for a Citizen of the Year, or Team of the Year Award.
Nominees must be over 18 and live in the district in order to be considered.
The Young Citizen of the Year Award is open to 11 to 18 year-olds who have made an outstanding contribution to young people and activities in Epping Forests. Applications close on Friday 26 November 2021.
