Citizen of the Year
Applications are now open
Do you know our next Citizen of the Year?
The search has begun for next year’s top citizens in Epping Forest District.
Celebrating citizens who have gone the extra mile
Every year the Council Chairman hosts an awards ceremony to recognise and celebrate citizens who make positive changes in our district and go the extra mile for their communities.
It could be a good neighbour or charity worker, or perhaps someone who runs a club for youngsters or older people.
This year’s winner was Peter King who during Covid volunteered at vaccination centres across Epping Forest playing a really important role, welcoming patients, checking their appointments and easing their concerns.
Nominate your Citizen of the Year
So if you know someone, or a group of people, who make positive changes why not nominate them for a Citizen of the Year, or Team of the Year Award.
Nominees must be over 18 and live in the district in order to be considered.
The Young Citizen of the Year Award is open to 11 to 18 year-olds who have made an outstanding contribution to young people and activities in Epping Forests. Applications close on Friday 25 November 2022.
