Epping Forest District Museum is holding a free fun day for all the family on Saturday 4 August 2007. This year`s theme is George and the Dragon, with Miraiker`s World of Puppets performing a puppet version of the story during the day. Building on the success of last year`s event, when over 300 people attended, visitors will be able to enjoy some of the most popular activities again such as sand sculptures and shrimping in the garden. There will also be face painting and balloon modelling.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the museum`s newly refurbished ground floor galleries for the first time. Many more of the archaeological treasures from the museum`s collection will be on display.
Activities will be taking place between 11am and 4pm at the Epping Forest District Museum in Sun Street, Waltham Abbey.
